47 The Avenue

The brief was to add an upper floor and transform the 1950's bungalow into a modern family home. The bedrooms are left on the ground floor and the main living spaces are upstairs, making the most of the views towards the Bristol Channel. The result is a striking, contemporary house that is designed to sit comfortably with the large villas that flank this Clevedon street.

Stacey Architects Home Studio

This project is a contemporary extension to create our own home studio. The existing ground floor office is extended by using a previously under utilised area of the front garden. The design makes best use of the space and the sloping roof pitch to create a double height space for the office area. A new double height entrance is lit by a rooflight above and overlooked from the first floor landing by a small balcony. The new extension is clad in charred larch cladding called 'Shou-shugi Ban' and traditional Japanese technique to treat timber.

Chew Court Manege

A one-off, modern, new build home in an historic setting next to Grade II* and Grade I listed buildings. This exciting project at the planning application stage.
